1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Jintex Sewing Solutions LLP (“Jintex”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit jintex.in (the “Site”), browse our product catalogue or part books, submit an enquiry to us, or communicate with us over WhatsApp about your account. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
Sections 1–4 concern visitors to the Site. Section 5 concerns our trade customers, whom we message on WhatsApp about their invoices, deliveries and account statements. Sections 6 onwards apply to both.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact details submitted via our enquiry, contact and export forms — name, company name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number;
- The content of your enquiry or message, including product or part references you ask about.
Information collected automatically
- Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URL;
- Analytics data via Google Analytics (GA4) and Meta Pixel, where enabled, used to understand aggregate site usage and measure the performance of our marketing;
- Search Console data used to monitor and improve how the Site appears in search results.
Information about trade customers
- Contact name, mobile number and email address, given to us when your account is opened;
- Invoices, delivery dockets, payments and outstanding balances arising from trading with us;
- WhatsApp messages we send you and any replies you send us, together with delivery timestamps, delivery status and the message identifiers returned by WhatsApp.
We do not collect location data, contact lists, device identifiers or any special category data from WhatsApp.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your product, part book, dealer or export enquiries and provide quotations;
- Operate, maintain and improve the Site, including troubleshooting and security;
- Understand how visitors use the Site and measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising, including any Meta/Facebook ad campaigns run using Pixel data;
- Send trade customers their invoices, delivery dockets and statements of account, follow up on overdue payments, and answer questions about their account (see section 5);
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies & Analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as those set by Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) to recognise your browser, measure site usage and support advertising measurement. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may limit some functionality of the Site. Google and Meta process analytics data under their own respective privacy policies.
5. WhatsApp Business Messaging
If you are a trade customer, we use the WhatsApp Business Platform to send you documents relating to your account. This is a transactional service, not a marketing channel.
What we send and receive
- Invoices and photographs of delivery dockets when goods are dispatched;
- Statements of account listing your outstanding invoices;
- Payment follow-up messages where invoices are overdue;
- Your replies, which our staff read and respond to during business hours.
How WhatsApp is involved
Messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta Platforms. To deliver a message, your mobile number and the contents of that message pass through Meta’s systems. Meta’s handling of that data is governed by the WhatsApp Business Data Processing Terms. Your replies are delivered into our own accounting system, which only our staff can access.
We do not use WhatsApp message data for advertising, audience building or profiling, and it is never combined with the analytics and advertising activity described in sections 3 and 4. It is used solely to service your account.
Connecting our WhatsApp numbers
Some of our WhatsApp numbers are used both by our staff on the WhatsApp Business app and by our accounting system through the WhatsApp Business Platform. When a number is first connected in this way, existing contacts and recent message history associated with that number may be imported into our systems as part of the connection process, and new messages sent or received on either side are synchronised between them. Imported and synchronised data is used only to service your account as described in this section, and is subject to the same retention periods set out in section 7.
Stopping WhatsApp messages
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop sending you WhatsApp messages. This is actioned automatically and takes effect immediately; we will use email or post for your account documents instead. You can also ask us to stop using the contact details in section 12, or ask to be re-subscribed at any time.
Under WhatsApp’s own rules we may only send you a free-text reply within 24 hours of your last message to us. Outside that window we can send only pre-approved message templates, such as an invoice notification or a statement of account.
6. Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site, host our infrastructure, or process enquiries (for example, email and hosting providers);
- Meta Platforms, strictly as the operator of the WhatsApp Business Platform, in order to deliver and receive the account messages described in section 5;
- Analytics and advertising platforms (Google, Meta) as described above;
- Our accountants and auditors, and tax or regulatory authorities, where we are required to disclose records;
- Authorities, where required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect our rights.
We do not share your enquiry details with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain enquiry and contact information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, maintain business records, and comply with legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
For WhatsApp messaging specifically:
- Records of messages successfully sent are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically;
- Records of messages that failed to send are kept longer, so that we can investigate delivery problems;
- Message contents and replies are kept while your account is active;
- Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by applicable tax and companies legislation.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information submitted through the Site against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices & Rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- Correct anything that is inaccurate;
- Delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
- Stop contacting you on WhatsApp — or simply reply STOP to any message.
How to request deletion
To request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, email us at enquiry@jintex.in with the subject line “Data deletion request”. Please include your name, your company name, and the mobile number we message you on, together with a short description of what you would like removed. We will acknowledge your request and confirm once it has been actioned. Please note that we cannot delete invoices or accounting entries we are legally required to retain; where that applies we will tell you which records must be kept and why.
Contact us using the details in section 12 and we will respond within a reasonable period. Please note that we cannot delete invoices or accounting entries we are legally required to retain. You may also opt out of analytics tracking using your browser’s cookie settings or the opt-outs offered by Google and Meta.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for business and adult use in connection with industrial sewing machine spare parts and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
12. Contact Us
For questions about this Privacy Policy or to exercise the choices described above, contact us at enquiry@jintex.in or via our Contact page.
